Shiv Sena’s Uddhav faction has finally got both the party’s new name and symbol for the Andheri East assembly by-polls.

This faction will now be known politically as Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray). Also, its election symbol will be a torch.

Meanwhile, the Uddhav Thackeray faction released a poster with the new election symbol and the name of the new party.

Aaditya Thackeray remembers Balasaheb.

After the poster was released, Aaditya Thackeray said that we are extremely proud of the name Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray.

Uddhav Ji has worked as Chief Minister by saving thousands of lives in Maharashtra. We want a truly honest government that works for the people.

Aditya said that the torch is something that we will take with pride in every home.

The Shinde faction did not get the mark.

The Shinde faction has got the name of its party ‘Balasaheb Banchi Shiv Sena’, but will have to wait till 10 o’clock on October 11 for the election symbol.

The Election Commission has again asked the Shinde faction to provide three new options.

The three options given by the Shinde faction to the Election Commission for the election symbol were Trishul, the rising sun, and mace.

Out of these, the Election Commission refused to give Trishul and Mace on the grounds of religious affiliation, while Rising Sun was not given due to already being with any political party.

The special thing is that the Uddhav faction had also given the option of a trident, rising sun, and torch for the election symbol.

Commission gave a big message.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has taken this decision on Monday after investigating the party name and symbol provided by both factions.

Along with this, a notice has been issued to the Shinde faction, asking them to provide a new option by 10 am on Tuesday.

At present, the way the Commission has rejected the demand for symbols like Trishul and Mace from both factions on the basis of religious affiliation is considered an attempt to send a big message to all the political parties as well.
