A touching incident has come to light in Andhra Pradesh. In Andhra Pradesh, two hours after a helpless mother sought euthanasia for her 9-year-old child, the same son died.

A nine-year-old boy in Andhra Pradesh died of a rare disease within two hours of his mother’s application for euthanasia in the court on Tuesday, police sources said.

Harshvardhan, the nine-year-old son of a couple hailing from the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, was diagnosed with a rare blood-related disease. The family lives in Birjepalli village of Choudepalli mandal of Chittoor district.

Hailing from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, the couple’s 9-year-old son Harshvardhan was suffering from a rare blood-related disease.

His mother had applied for euthanasia in court as she could not get treatment due to helplessness. When Harshavardhana was four years old, the poor couple came to know that their son had a rare blood disease.

Despite treatment, his health did not improve. Police sources said that due to this the couple also had to take a loan of Rs 4 lakh for treatment.

Stating that she was left with no option, Aruna on Tuesday applied to the Punganur Court, requesting that either the government should take care of her son or the court should allow his euthanasia.

Unfortunately, the child breathed his last on his way from the court to the village, barely two hours after the petition was filed.

Such incidents are shocking to human sensibilities. A mother sought euthanasia for her own son but the son died before that.

Middleman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, arrested for bribing Election Commission officials to get the AIADMK’s election symbol, has filed a petition in the Delhi HC seeking parole on grounds of taking care of a sick living in Tamil Nadu.

On the petition, a bench of Justice Siddharth Mridul and Justice AJ Bhambhani directed the Delhi government and police to file a status report.

Bribes were paid to the Election Commission to get the AIADMK’s symbol and AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran and others were involved in this case. The next hearing in the matter will be on June 3.

However, the bench asked the accused to consider summoning his mother to Delhi and where he can be released on custodial parole for her care and visit.
