In the midst of threats to blow up the famous temples of the capital, now the retired judge associated with the hearing of the Ayodhya Ram temple dispute case has received death threats over the phone.
Seth Shailendra Nath Tandon, a special judge of the CBI court involved in the lengthy hearing of the disputed structure of Ayodhya, has received a threat over the phone.
A retired judge, along with giving information to Police Commissioner DK Thakur, has filed a case against an unknown in Gomtinagar police station.
After increasing the security at his residence, the police have started an investigation. The police are investigating the matter through surveillance.
The retired judge, who lives in Viram Khand 5 of Gomtinagar in Lucknow, was given security after the verdict on the disputed structure came.
It is alleged that on Friday night, he got a call from an unknown number. As soon as he picked up the phone, the young man started abusing him.
On this, the retired judge hung up the phone. After some time, threatening messages started coming on his mobile phone.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, he informed the Gomti Nagar police about the incident.
After this, the retired judge reached the Gomtinagar police station along with the security personnel and complained.
The police have registered an FIR against the holder of the mobile phone number on the basis of Tahrir. According to the police, the caller is being traced with the help of surveillance.
Inspector Gomtinagar Keshav Kumar Tiwari said that the number from which the call was made, information has been received that the SIM card was purchased with a fake ID.
Now the investigation is being done in this case with the help of a surveillance cell.
Earlier, the police have tightened the security cordon in Lucknow after receiving letters threatening to blow up the Leeganj Naya Hanuman Mandir, Mankameshwar Temple, and RSS office.
Meanwhile, on Monday, a threatening letter also reached the Nanak Shahi Math located in Khadra. Here also the letter was sent by registered post. Mahant Dharmendra Das of the Math got this letter.
The Math is affiliated with the All India Nostalgic Sampradaya Sangat. As soon as the threatening letter was received, the Mahant immediately informed the Hasanganj police about the matter.
Inspector Hasanganj Yashkant Singh told that the language of the letter sent in Aliganj Naya Hanuman Mandir, Mankameshwar Temple, and Nakak Shahi Math is the same.
The letter is being investigated. Mahant Dharmendra Das of the Math told that he and the Mahant Manisha Nanda of the Math were out for several days.
Threat received: Five days ago this letter was received by Vipin, the go-Sevak of the monastery.
The letter came by registered post. It was written in the letter that the Mujahido have been arrested because of the fanatical thinking of your government.
They should be released immediately. Patience should not be tested in our community. Apart from this, it was written that major temples and RSS offices in the city are on target.
A day before August 15, the arrested people were asked to release them. Failure to do so was threatened with dire consequences.
