The troubles of senior Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who is trapped in the drugs case, are not being named.

Mohali police raided his house on Green Avenue in Amritsar on Tuesday morning after his anticipatory bail was rejected in the High Court on Monday.

Inspector Kailash, along with the police party, cast a raid on Tuesday morning. The Mohali police stayed inside the house for about 50 minutes and searched every detail.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of ​​former minister Bikram Majithia.

After this, the sword of arrest was hanging on Majithia. It is learned that Bikram Majithia is preparing to move the Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision.

Let us tell you that there was a stir in the politics of Punjab last year when an FIR was registered against former minister and Akali Dal leader Bikram Majithia on the basis of the 2018 status report of investigation of drugs racket.

After this, a period of political accusations and counter-allegations started. While Congress kept alleging that Bikram Majithia has gone underground due to fear of arrest.

Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal said that the ruling party is taking out political rivalry. There is a lot of talk about the arrest of Bikram Majithia.

On January 11, Bikram Majithia was granted interim bail by the High Court in this case. He was asked to appear before the SIT probing the case.

Majithia had appeared before the SIT on January 12 for questioning. He had applied for anticipatory bail in the High Court which was rejected on January 24.

Punjab Assembly Election 2022: With the release of the notification for the Punjab Assembly elections, the process of filing nominations has started today. Candidates will be able to file their nomination papers from today.

Voting for the assembly elections in the state will be held on February 20.

During the nomination, only two persons will be present with the candidate before the Returning Officer. Candidates can also file nominations online.
