Police have claimed to have arrested the terrorist involved in the IED blast outside the court premises in Udhampur’s Salathia Chowk in March last.

Police have arrested the terrorist from district Ramban. The police have claimed that it was the IED blast that took place in the fruit and vegetable market outside the court premises.

One person lost his life in the blast while 14 others were injured. Police said that the arrested terrorist is being interrogated.

It is expected that on the basis of the interrogation of this terrorist, more arrests may also be possible.

If anyone has helped this terrorist in Udhampur in planting IED, then he too will be taken into custody soon.

Police sources say that when it was confirmed in the investigation that the IED was used in the blast, the search for the terrorists involved in it started from that day itself.

Based on the information, several raids were conducted and today it was successful.

When the team of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the special squad arrested the terrorist from a hideout in district Ramban. The police are not yet talking openly about this matter.

Official sources said that ADGP Jammu, Mukesh Singh, who is investigating the matter, has called a press conference in this regard in the evening.

He will give detailed information about this in front of journalists. The terrorist involved in this attack belongs to which organization, what is its name, it will also be told during that time.

At present, the arrested terrorist is being brought to Jammu under tight security.

Let us tell you that on March 9 this year, terrorists detonated an IED in broad daylight at Salathia Chowk in Udhampur, in which a passerby was killed.

While 14 others were present and passing there were injured. An eight-year-old child was also among the injured.
