Tamil Nadu Fire: The number of people killed in an explosion in the Virudhunagar firecracker factory increased to 20.

The death toll in the fire incident in the firecracker factory on 12 February in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu has increased to 20.

The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister have announced financial assistance to the people in this accident.

PM and CM announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 3 lakh respectively to the families of the deceased. It has been announced to give Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh respectively for the seriously injured.

Significantly, a fire broke out in the fireworks factory near Sattur in the southern district of Tamil Nadu on 12 February.

Police said the blast occurred in the factory located in Achanakulam village when some chemicals were being mixed to make crackers. The injured people were then hospitalized for treatment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswamy, Governor Banwari Lal Purohit, and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed grief over the accident.

Prime Minister Modi immediately announced financial assistance of two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to the families of the deceased.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami also announced assistance of Rs 3 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the kin of the deceased.

CM Palaniswamy ordered an inquiry into the incident and assured that appropriate legal action will be taken in the case. The factory building has been badly damaged due to the explosion.

The dead body of a missing nun found in a pond in Kochi, Kerala.

45-year-old nun Jenna Thomas was found dead in a mining pond near a convent in the Vazhakkala area in Kochi, Kerala on Sunday night. Idukki resident Jessica lived in the local St. Thomas convent.

A senior police official said that the body has been sent to the nearest hospital for examination of the corona. Mother Superior of Convent reported that the nuns were under depression and had been undergoing treatment for the past 11 years.

According to the police, the nuns were missing from the convent from 10 am on Sunday and a complaint was lodged by the Mother Superior.

Girl commits suicide after mother’s scolding.

In the town of New Totladoh in Nagpur district in Maharashtra, a 15-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after being angry with her mother’s scolding for watching television.

Police said on Sunday that the girl was scolded at around 7 pm on Friday evening. Immediately she went to her room and closed the door and hanged it.

The incident was detected about one and a half hours later at around 8.30 pm. In this case, a case of accidental death has been registered with the Devlapar police station.
