Leader of Opposition in Bengal Legislative Assembly and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
According to sources, the two leaders discussed the violence against BJP workers in West Bengal and political activities in the state after the assembly elections.
Earlier on Tuesday, he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda and discussed many issues related to the state. He reached Delhi on Monday night.
During his meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, he briefed Shah on the situation in the state including the violence against BJP workers and the law and order situation after the assembly elections.
Let us inform you that after the results of the assembly elections in the state, many incidents of violence have come to the fore.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that several workers of its party have been killed in the violence. However, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has denied the allegations.
The state government had on May 25 informed the Supreme Court that three people have been arrested in connection with the alleged killing of two BJP workers in the post-poll violence in the state on May 2.
West Bengal Police has registered an FIR against Suvendu and his brother Soumendu Adhikari for allegedly stealing relief material from the Kanthi Municipality office.
Regarding this, he said that registering FIR against opponents is an old habit of Bengal CM Mamta. The BJP leader said that he has come to Delhi to meet top leaders of his party and discuss various issues related to his state.
The official also said that an amount of Rs 5,00,000 has been given to the families of all those party workers who lost their lives in the Bengal political violence.
On the question of the President’s rule in Bengal, he said that the right decision will be taken at the right time. He also told that the condition of Bengal BJP chief Mukul Roy’s wife is very critical. She is infected with Corona.
