The Oscar Awards started in 1929 and now this award is in the news for its 97th edition, which will be held in Los Angeles on 2 March 2025. South films trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan has given information about Kanguva’s Oscar entry on his official x account. In his tweet, a list of Academy Awards has been released, in which Kanguva’s name is also there.

It is being told that Kanguva has presented its claim in the Best Feature Film category. However, it is yet to be shortlisted for nomination. This time around 323 films had presented their claim for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, out of which 207 movies have been shortlisted.

Now it will be interesting to see whether Surya’s Kanguva is able to move forward in the Oscar Awards 2025 or not. Earlier, the film Missing Ladies made in Aamir Khan’s production house has already been out of the Oscar race.
