FPI has withdrawn Rs 3,419 crore from Indian capital markets in September. FPIs have made this withdrawal amid increasing Corona virus cases in Europe and other countries, including India, and uncertainty before the presidential election in the US.

Foreign portfolio investors had earlier bought Indian capital markets for three consecutive months. According to depository data, foreign portfolio investors pulled out a net Rs 7,783 crore from the shares in September.

At the same time, he invested Rs 4,364 crore in the debt or bond market during this period. Thus the net withdrawal of FPIs stood at Rs 3,419 crore. According to experts, foreign portfolio investors are taking a very cautious approach ahead of the US presidential election and due to rising cases of coronavirus infection.

At the same time, before August, FPIs were pure buying for three consecutive months.

Foreign portfolio investors had invested Rs 46,532 crore in the Indian capital market in August. Earlier, the investment of FPIs stood at Rs 3,301 crore in July. Earlier in June, foreign portfolio investors invested Rs 24,053 crore in Indian capital markets.
