Sourav Ganguly thrashed stormy fifty but his team could not win the match.

The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) Annual General Assembly (AGM) is scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad today, 24 December.

But on its eve a friendly match was played between BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah’s team.

In this match, former Indian captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly played a strong innings. After a long time, Sourav Ganguly, who landed on the field, hit a stormy half-century.

A 12–12 over match was played between Sourav Ganguly captained President XI and Jai Shah led Secretary XI at Motera Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium.

Batting first in this match, Secretary XI, captained by Jai Shah, scored 128 runs losing 3 wickets in the prescribed 12 overs.

Jaydev Shah scoring 38 and former Indian team captain Mohammad Ahjaruddin scoring 37 runs.

In response to 129 runs, Sourav Ganguly’s team could score 100 runs after losing 4 wickets in the prescribed 12 overs.

In this way, Jai Shah-led Secretary XI defeated Sourav Ganguly’s President XI by 28 runs.

However, 48-year-old Sourav Ganguly played a stormy innings of 53 not out in just 32 balls.

. During this innings, Ganguly hit 6 fours and a six. Jai Shah took 2 wickets from Secretary XI.

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly also tried his hand at bowling. He bowled 3 overs and took one wicket for 26 runs.

Despite this, Ganguly’s team suffered defeat at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

The teams of former Indian team captain Ganguly and Jai Shah appeared in the retro jersey. This jersey has been worn by the Indian team many times.

Dinesh Karthik named captain for BCCI T20 tournament, Vijay Shankar will be vice-captain.

Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to start the domestic T20 tournament before the 14th season of the Indian Premier League.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is going to begin on January 10.

For the same T20 tournament, veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has been made the captain of the Tamil Nadu cricket team.
