Here we will tell you how to make water chestnut flour barfi during Shivratri fast. There is a lot of trend to eat it on this special day, neither a drop of oil is required to make it nor any long recipe.

Ingredients for making delicious Singhara Aata Barfi.

1. Chickpea flour – 1 cup
2. Desi ghee- 2 spoons
3. Sugar or jaggery – 4 tbsp
4. Small cardamom – 3-4 pieces

Method of making water chestnut barfi

1. First of all take a thick bottom pan.
2. Add one spoonful of ghee to the pan and fry the water chestnut flour on medium flame.
3. When the flour becomes light in color, turn off the gas and take out the flour in a bowl.
4. When the flour cools down, add water three times the amount of flour in it.
5. Now pour this solution back into the pan and cook it while stirring continuously.
6. Keep in mind that you should keep stirring it continuously so that there are no lumps in it.
7. When it starts thickening slightly, add sugar and cardamom powder to it and cook for 4-5 more minutes.
8. When this mixture starts taking the form of halwa, turn off the gas and add the remaining one spoon of ghee to it.
9. Now you have to take a flat-edged plate.
8. You have to put this halwa on this plate and let it cool completely.
9. After cooling, it will solidify and in such a situation, you have to cut it like barfi pieces with the help of a knife.
