The CBI has arrested two more NHAI officials, including a Deputy General Manager working in Madhya Pradesh, in a case related to the bribery racket.

Along with this, eight people have been arrested in this case so far.

Deputy General Manager Rajendra Kumar Gupta, holding the charge of Project Director in Bhopal, and Hemant Kumar, working as Project Director in Vidisha, have been arrested in connection with the bribery racket involving NHAI officials and Bhopal-based Bansal Construction Works Private Limited.

NHAI bribery scandal: CBI busts bribery racket.

The CBI on Sunday busted the bribery racket and arrested NHAI General Manager and Project Director Arvind Kale posted in Nagpur and Deputy General Manager Brijesh Kumar Sahu posted in Harda, Madhya Pradesh.

The accused were presented in the special court of Bhopal.

Officials said that the company’s two directors Anil Bansal and Kunal Bansal and four employees have also been detained during this period.
