Shivamogga SP Said Arrest Will Be Made In Stone-pelting Case

Shivamogga SP said the arrest will be made in the stone-pelting case, We have got some videos on the basis of which arrest will be made.

In the Karnataka Hijab case, Shivamogga SP BM Lakshmi Prasad said on Tuesday, ‘Today an incident happened in Shivamogga in which stone-pelting took place between two groups.

Two people were injured in this. Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Apart from students, some anti-social elements were also involved in pelting stones.

He further said, ‘We have got some videos on the basis of which we will make arrests. Three FIRs have been filed in the matter.

It was also said that the saffron flag was hoisted after taking down the national flag in the pole, which is not true, there was no national flag on that pole, the pole was empty.

School-college closed for three days.

Hijab controversy is increasing in Karnataka. On Tuesday, the police had to resort to lathi-charge and tear gas shells after incidents of stone-pelting in colleges of several districts in the state.

Seeing the deteriorating atmosphere, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai declared a holiday in all schools and colleges for the next three days.

State Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said that no one should force the police to use force.

The Karnataka High Court appealed to the students and people to maintain peace, saying that some people want to keep the matter alive. The matter will now be heard in court on Wednesday.

Controversy reaches Puducherry.

Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh said that according to a report the Campus Front of India (CFI) has fueled the controversy.

Meanwhile, the hijab controversy has reached Puducherry as well.

The Directorate of School Education has sought a reply from the head of the school after a teacher objected to a Muslim girl wearing a hijab in Ariyankuppam.

Let us tell you, in early January in Karnataka, it started after six girl students in a government college in Udupi came wearing hijab to class.

Due to tension in educational institutions located in Udupi, Shivamogga, Bagalkot and other areas of Karnataka, police, and administration had to intervene.
