Sardar Patel Jayanti: 145th Birth Anniversary Of Sardar Patel

Sardar Patel Jayanti: 145th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Patel, PM Modi, and Home Minister paid tribute. Today is the 145th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the iron man of India (Sardar Patel Jayanti).

Many leaders, including President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to him.

This day is also celebrated as National Unity Day. The Statue of Unity has been erected in Gujarat in memory of Sardar Patel, a 182-feet tall statue.

Sardar Patel has been the First Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of the country. He was instrumental in the integration of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and paid tribute to Sardar Patel. The PM wrote, ‘A humble tribute to Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the pioneer of national unity and integrity, on his birth anniversary.

On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, President Kovind paid homage to his statue at Patel Chowk in New Delhi.

He was also accompanied by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi’s LG Anil Baijal.

Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted and paid tribute to the iron man. He said, ‘A tribute to Sardar Patel ji, a reflection of national unity and an iron man who lives in the heart of every Indian.

After uniting India scattered in hundreds of princely states after independence, he laid the foundation of today’s strong India. His steadfast leadership, national dedication and immense contribution India can never forget.

Shah further wrote, ‘Sardar Patel, a unique symbol of the balance of the Constitution and Sanatan, devoted every moment of his life from the integration of the country to the reconstruction of the Somnath Temple to awaken the spirit of a nation in India.

Significantly, on the occasion of the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardara Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.

It is the tallest statue in the world with a height of 182 meters (597 ft). This statue is located in front of the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada River.
