Rhea Chakraborty At NCB Office, Questioned In Drug Case

Rhea Chakraborty at the NCB office questioned in a drug case. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) team investigating the drugs angle in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is questioning Rhea Chakraborty today. Earlier, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Mansinde said that Rhea Chakraborty is ready for arrest.

If loving someone is a crime, then she is ready to face punishment. Rhea has not approached any court for anticipatory bail. NCB Deputy Director Amit Fakkad Ghavate has said that Riya will only have questions and answers. The team of the investigating agency reached Riya’s house this morning and issued a summons. During this time the Mumbai Police were also present there.

NCB arrested Sushant’s personal employee Dipesh Sawant in the case on Saturday. He is produced in court today along with Abdul Basit Parihar. Earlier, he underwent a medical examination. A total of seven people have been arrested in the case so far.

The NCB said Sawant was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at around 8 pm on Saturday. His statement was recorded under Section 67 of the NDPS Act on the basis of sufficient evidence.

Sawant used to buy drugs like Miranda

According to the NCB, Sawant allegedly used to buy drugs, like Samuel Miranda. The agency arrested Riya Chakraborty’s brother Shouvik Chakraborty and Sushant’s manager Samuel Miranda on Friday. Out of the seven arrested, three Shouvik, Miranda and Zaid Vilatra are in NCB custody.

No drugs were recovered from NCB by Shouvik and Samuel

Although NCB has not recovered narcotics from Shouvik and Samuel, the earlier WhatsApp chats and the use of credit cards to buy drugs have given NCB several important evidence against them. There is also talk of NCB getting number of many Bollywood celebrities from Shovik’s laptop and mobile.

These can be investigated in future. The NCB has also written in its remand application that it is investigating the angle of drugs in Sushant Singh Rajput case. Many known and unintentional names that have come up in this case have to be questioned so that the case can be reached.

Miranda reportedly used to buy drugs on Shouvik’s instructions.

When the investigation of the case began, the agency arrested two men, Abbas Lakhani and Karan Arora, for alleged drug peddling and the authorities claimed that through them they reached Vilatra and Abdul Basit Parihar, who was allegedly directly related to this drugs case. They were in contact with Miranda. Miranda reportedly used to buy drugs from Shouvik on his instructions.

The CBI on Saturday questioned Sushant’s sister Mitu Singh and the actor’s alleged friend Sandeep Singh for about five hours. Mitu was not only the first member of the family to reach Sushant’s home after his death, but also came and stayed with Riya for four days after she left Sushant’s house.
