Religious leaders discussed the issue of love and narco jihad in Kerala.

Hindu, Muslim, and Christian religious leaders held a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday amid the ongoing political turmoil in Kerala following the Pala bishop’s statement on love and narcotic jihad.

During this, they discussed the solution to the problem. Pala Bishop Joseph Kallarengat, while addressing the congregation in the church on September 9.

Bishop alleged that non-Muslim girls and youths were being made victims of love and narcotic jihad in Kerala.

He had said that terrorists do not have any religion, but they keep wearing the chadar of a particular religion. CPI(M) and Congress have failed to curb these terrorists.

All the votes have to be united to fight against terrorism. There is no problem between the two votes. This is the agenda of SDPI, which Congress and CPI(M) are supporting.

Vellapally criticized Bishop’s statement.

Vellapalli Natesan, leader of SNDP Yogam, an organization of the Ezhava community in Kerala.

On Monday, criticized the Pala bishop’s statement on love and narcotic jihad, saying it was not right to target the Muslim community on the issue, according to Prater.

The general secretary of SNDP Yogam has hit out at the Catholic priest, claiming that certain sections of the Christian community are most known for conversion in India.

The priest had alleged that nine girls belonging to the Syro-Malabar Church near Kottayam were recently lured by youths from the Ezhava community to convert.

On Pala Bishop’s remarks of ‘love jihad’ and ‘narcotic jihad’, Union Minister V Muraleedharan described the situation in Kerala as worrying and said that the actual situation is worrying and it is a cause for concern.

Hitting out at the Kerala government for not maintaining a proper stand on the situation, he said, “It is not enough to meet the bishop and say anything.”

Andhra Pradesh: TDP and YSRCP workers clash during Ganpati immersion procession, seven injured.

A clash broke out between TDP and YSRCP workers on Monday night in the Kopparu village of the Guntur district. The clash took place during the Ganpati idol immersion procession.

Sharda, a local TDP leader, has alleged that YSRCP workers barged into her house and vandalized her furniture and six vehicles.

Bapatla DSP A Srinivasa Rao told the news agency, “There was a clash between both the groups of YSRCP and TDP, both the groups collided with each other during the Ganesh Visarjan procession.

Seven people were injured in the clash. A case has been registered and the investigation is on.
