Ranchi Violence: Jharkhand High Court reprimanded the DGP-Home Secretary, and asked why was the transfer of SSP and SHO.

The hearing was held in the Jharkhand High Court today on June 10 in the violence case in Ranchi.

During the hearing, the court directed the NIA to present the investigation report done so far in a sealed cover.

At the same time, the High Court asked the NIA whether it was ready to investigate the matter.

The court has also raised questions on the transfer of Surendra Kumar Jha, the then SSP of Ranchi, and the in-charge of the Daily Market station at that time.

In this case, the DGP and the Home Secretary have been directed to file the counter.

Giving information, advocate Rajiv Kumar said that during the violence in Ranchi on June 10, the then Ranchi SSP Surendra Kumar Jha had taken the lead by staying on the front and played a big role in controlling the riots.

He was also injured during the violence at that time. The pictures of his being injured also got a lot of headlines in the media.

Similarly, the work of the in charge of the Daily Market Police Station located on the Main Road of Ranchi was also highly appreciated. But recently both the officers were transferred.

In such a situation, on Friday, the High Court, raising the question on the transfer, asked the DGP and Home Secretary of the state the reason for the transfer by filing a counter.

During the hearing, the court also sought complete information about Salim Chishti, who runs the WhatsApp group.

The hearing, in this case, will be held on Friday next week. During the next hearing, a detailed report related to the investigation of the case has been sought.

Let us inform you, that social activist Pankaj Kumar Yadav had filed public interest litigation in the Jharkhand High Court demanding an inquiry into the Ranchi violence.

In the petition, the violence in the capital was described as well-planned. Along with this, there was a demand to get the investigation of this whole matter done by NIA.

Apart from this, funding for violence has also been mentioned in the petition. In such a situation, demand has been made to get the matter investigated by ED and IT also.
