Rahul Gandhi Arrived In Goa For An Election Campaign
Rahul Gandhi arrived in Goa for an election campaign, said in the press conference – will restore mining after coming to power: Goa Election 2022.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Goa on Friday. Voting for the 2022 assembly elections is to be held in the state on Monday, February 14.
Elections to 40 assembly seats in the state will be held in a single phase. Rahul Gandhi has reached here to support the sinking party of the party in Goa.
Under a predetermined program, Rahul Gandhi interacted with the media in a press conference.
In the press conference, Rahul Gandhi has announced that if Goa forms the Congress government. So soon after coming to power, we will plan to restore mining here in a permanent and legal way.
Utpal Parrikar claimed victory in Panaji, told- from which three seats BJP had offered to contest elections.
Late Goa CM Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal Parrikar is leaving the BJP as an independent from the Panaji assembly seat.
Utpal, who is busy in the campaign, has claimed his victory in the election. Utpal has claimed that there is a silent wave in his favor in Panaji.
Utpal alleged that the BJP did not give him a ticket due to local politics. On being offered three seats by the BJP, barring the Panaji seat, Utpal said the fight was never for alternatives.
Utpal is contesting against BJP candidate Atanasio Monserrate. Atanasio won the Panaji by-election as a Congress candidate after the death of Manohar Parrikar.
However, he later joined BJP from Congress along with other MLAs. Atanasio’s wife Jennifer is the MLA from the Talegaon assembly constituency, while their son is the mayor of Panaji.
Parrikar alleged, “I was denied ticket in 2019 due to local politics, even then I followed the party’s decision.
But then here a person was brought from Congress, there is such a heinous crime against him.” I am ashamed to even talk about them.
