PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy enter Malaysia Masters second round, Saina Nehwal out of Malaysia Masters Badminton.

Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu on Wednesday made it to the second round of the Malaysia Masters badminton tournament.

With this win, world number 7 Sindhu avenged her straight games first-round loss to Bing Xiao in the first round of the Indonesia Open Super 1000 tournament last month.

Sindhu defeated Bing Xiao 21-13, 17-21, 21-15. However, the Chinese player still has a win-loss record of 10-9 against Sindhu.

London Olympics bronze medalist Saina, on the other hand, went down 21-16, 17-21, 14-21 against Kim Ga Eun of South Korea despite winning the first game.

World number 24 Saina also crashed out of the Malaysia Open Super 750 tournament last week after losing in the first round.
