Puducherry Assembly Election 2021: Congress releases a list of 14 candidates.

The Congress party on Tuesday released a list of 14 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Puducherry.

Earlier in the day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released a list of 9 candidates for the assembly elections in the union territory. Let us know that there will be voting on April 6 for the 30 assembly seats of Puducherry.

Five out of the 30 assembly seats are reserved for scheduled caste candidates. For Puducherry’s 15 assemblies, 10,02,589 voters will decide the fate of the candidates.

Let us know that recently the Congress-led government in the Union Territory, which had Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, fell before completing its five-year term.

Narayanasamy resigned on February 22 before a floor test in the 33-member house (including three nominees) following the resignation of five Congress and one Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLAs.

On 23 February, President Ram Nath Kovind accepted the resignation of Narayanasamy and his Council of Ministers.

At the same time, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of Puducherry, Dinesh Gundu Rao said that the former Chief Minister of Puducherry V Narayanasamy will not contest the 2021 assembly elections in the Union Territory.

Explain that in the 2016 assembly elections, Congress won 15 seats, All India NR Congress eight seats, AIADMK four seats, DMK two MLAs. BJP could not win any seat.

Puducherry Assembly Election: BJP announces nine candidates for the Puducherry election.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday released a list of nine candidates for the upcoming Puducherry assembly election.

Prominent candidates will be V Saminathan from the Lospet assembly seat, A Namasivam from the Mannadipet seat, A John Kumar from the Kamarajanagar seat, and Kalyan Sundaram from the Kalpet assembly seat.

Polling will be held on April 6 for 30 assembly seats in Puducherry.

Apart from this, J Saravan Kumar will contest from the Osudu assembly seat and Iambalam R. Selvan from the Manavali assembly seat. Five out of the 30 assembly seats are reserved for scheduled caste candidates.

10,02,589 voters will select candidates for 15 legislative assemblies of Puducherry. The Congress-led government in the Union Territory collapsed even before Chief Minister V Narayanasamy completed his five-year term.
