Protest Against Agriculture Laws Has Become Political

Protest against agriculture laws has become political: Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan.

Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan on Tuesday said that farmers’ protest against central agriculture laws is turning political. He said, ‘The whole matter is getting political.

In Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, farmers will protest against the BJP, but they will not protest in Haryana as there is no election to be held there.

Be it for the rally held yesterday or others in the future, parties like Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) are providing resources for this.

Balyan said farmers should ensure that opposition parties do not use them for their political agenda.

On talks between farmers and the government, Balyan said, “We want that there should be talks between farmers and the government and the real issues of farmers should be discussed.”

Farmers should not return home empty-handed. Instead of being adamant about repealing the laws, they should try to amend the laws as they wish.’

Balyan said that the fate of the BJP is in the hands of the people.  He said, ‘Our fate is in the hands of the people.

People will eventually understand what is happening when they see flags of other parties in protest.’ The UP assembly elections are to be held early next year.

Kisan Mahapanchayat was organized in Muzaffarnagar on Sunday against the three agricultural laws.

It announced that they would campaign against the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. The Mahapanchayat saw the participation of various political parties.

Farmers have been protesting against the three new agricultural laws at various borders of the national capital since November 26 last year.

These include the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020.

There are agreements on Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020 (Farmers Empowerment and Protection).

Farmer leaders and the Center have held several rounds of talks but the impasse remains.
