Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of Jewar Airport today, a big gift to UP before the assembly elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today lay the foundation stone of Noida International Airport Jewar, which will prove to be a milestone for the industrial, economic, and tourism development of UP
This airport, which is going to be built on 5845 hectares of land at Jewar, Greater Noida, adjacent to Delhi, will be the largest airport in Asia at a cost of Rs 29,650 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the public meeting here.
In the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the first phase of the foundation stone laying of the airport will be completed in 2023-24.
The first phase of the Noida International Airport will see an investment of about Rs 8,914 crore and will handle 12 million passengers annually.
Initially, two airstrips will be operational at Jewar airport. The contract for the development of this airport has been awarded to Zurich Airport International.
PM Modi took to Twitter to say that November 25 is a major day in infrastructure building of India and Uttar Pradesh.
The foundation stone of Noida International Airport will be laid at 1 pm. This project will give a big boost to commerce, connectivity, and tourism.
A statement issued by the PMO said that the Jewar airport would prove to be a gateway to North India and would change the face of Uttar Pradesh.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Asia’s largest airport ‘Noida International Airport’ at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar today.
Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, this airport will give a new flight to multidimensional development and will also become a medium for massive employment generation.
Jewar airport will be the second international airport in the Delhi-NCR region.
Once it is ready, the load will be reduced from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
Jewar Airport will become a major center of industrial activities and service sector in the National Capital Region.
This airport will provide convenience to the people of many districts of western UP including Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Agra, Mathura, and cities like Faridabad, Palwal, and Vallabhgarh in Haryana.
