President Ram Nath Kovind gets the Corona vaccine, so far 1. 56 crore people have been vaccinated. President Ram Nath Kovind took the first dose of the corona vaccine on Wednesday at the Army Hospital.

Earlier, many senior ministers and leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan have got the Corona vaccine.

So far, 56 million people have been vaccinated in the country. On 16 January, corona vaccination started in India. At the same time, the second phase of corona vaccination started in the country on March 1.

In this phase, people over 60 years of age and suffering from serious diseases are getting vaccinated for more than 45 years.

The country has been using covidshield from Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for corona vaccination.

President Kovind had earlier said about Corona vaccination that it is a matter of great pride that India is running the world’s largest vaccination program. Both the vaccines being used in this are being produced indigenously.

Earlier today, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took the first dose of corona vaccine at a corona vaccination center at the District Medical Office, Thiruvananthapuram.

The Chief Minister appealed to all eligible people to come forward and get themselves vaccinated.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also took the first dose of the Corona vaccine on Wednesday. He also appealed to all eligible people to get vaccinated.

All private hospitals will be vaccinated

To give impetus to the Corona vaccination campaign, the government has also allowed all private hospitals following the prescribed criteria to vaccinate.

The Health Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday night and informed about this. It said that all private hospitals have been allowed to function as corona vaccination centers.

Provided that they should have adequate staff to vaccinate, adequate arrangements to keep the beneficiaries under surveillance, cold chain, and adequate treatment of people with adverse effects after vaccination.
