Preparations begin for interrogation of Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker P. Sriramakrishnan in gold smuggling case.

Preparations have been started to interrogate the Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan next week in the gold smuggling case.

This information has been received on the basis of information received from sources.

Sources have revealed that the chairman will be questioned informally without giving any notice and the Customs Department has taken a legal opinion in this regard.

Explain that the main accused in the gold smuggling case was Swapna Prabha Suresh and P.S. Sarath in his statement had named the name of Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker P. Sriramakrishnan.

Customs officials have also interrogated Naz Abdullah, a close aide of the speaker, based on information shared by Swapna and Sarath, accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case.

Please tell that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shriramakrishnan used a SIM card taken in the name of Abdullah.

According to the report, Abdullah is also the director of the educational institute in Oman, where the chairman has allegedly invested. Informed sources further revealed that the SIM card ceased to function after the smuggling case surfaced.

Sources said that after the informal inquiry, if evidence is found against the speaker, the customs department will take further action.

After the notice was given by the Customs Department, the Assistant Private Secretary to the Speaker K.K. Notice has been sent to Ayyappan. However, due to various reasons, he has failed to appear before the authorities thrice.

MLC of Janata Dal (S) Basavaraj Horatti, hinting at a change in his party’s stance, said his party would support the anti-cow slaughter bill in the Karnataka Legislative Council.
