POTLUCK Review: Potluck is the story of keeping the family united, this series is worth watching for these reasons.

Potluck is an English word that means a few families cook food in their respective kitchens and then all gather at one place to enjoy the meal together.

There is a proverb in English itself: The family who eats together, stage together. This means that the family which eats together, (always) stays together.

But the interesting thing is that the Shastri family does not stay together.

This Sony Liv show talks about the importance of family togetherness. In everyday life, family members do not have time for each other.

In such a situation, Govind Shatri (Jatin Sial) wishes to bring together his two married sons Vikrant (Cyrus Sahukar) and Dhruv (Harman Singha), and unmarried daughter Prerna (Shikha Talsania), who are living separately after their retirement. They lie to children about their illness.

Children, hurt by the news of their father’s illness, prepare for Patalak every Sunday. Potluck means being readily available to the family with the resources available.

Aspects like children’s annoyance with habits, sibling tussle, and gossip add to the story and tickle in between. Jatin Syal suits the role of father. Kitu Gidwani impresses in the role of mother-in-law.

Shikha Talsania, Saloni Khanna, Cyrus Sahukar, Ira Dubey, Harman Singha have also done justice to their characters. The end of the show hints at the next season
