Political Movement Intensifies In Kashmir, Former CMs Will Meet

Political movement intensifies in Kashmir, all three former CMs will meet today. Political activities in Kashmir have intensified following the release of Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti.

On Wednesday, Mehbooba held the first meeting with senior leaders after about a year and a half, while National Conference (NC) President and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice-Chairman Omar Abdullah met Mehbooba.

Mehbooba will be the leader who signed the secret declaration on August 4, 2019, at the important meeting to be held at Dr. Farooq’s residence on Thursday.

Significantly, Mehbooba, who was detained in the early hours of August 5, 2019, was released last night. In the morning, Mehbooba held a meeting with senior PDP leaders at the government residence on Gupkar Marg. In the two-hour meeting, Mehbooba said that everyone should be ready for a long battle.

The situation in Kashmir and other issues were discussed. In the afternoon, Dr. Farooq met his son Umar with Mehbooba. For 40 minutes, the father and son discussed moving together against the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act and making the Gupakar Declaration a political agenda.

He invited Mehbooba for a meeting with leaders of all parties signing the manifesto on Thursday at 4 pm. Mehbooba has accepted. In the conversation, Omar said that he had gone to know the well-being of Mehbooba. Discussions have been held on various issues related to Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba will also attend the meeting on Thursday.

Omar tweeted about the meeting held at Mehbooba’s residence. After this Mehbooba wrote on Twitter, that it is nice of you and Farooq Saheb to come to my house. Dr. Farooq I am sure that together we can improve the situation.

Sajjad also held the meeting:

A team of senior leaders of the People’s Conference (PC) met Sajjad Gani Lone. PC Group is the partner of the announcement. Sajjad declined to talk about the meeting, but his close informed that the party is ready to take forward the agenda of the secret declaration at the meeting on Thursday.

In the meeting, all the leaders prepared and signed the manifesto. The manifesto said that the special status of Jammu and Kashmir will not be allowed to be tampered with. This declaration is called a secret declaration.
