Police Arrested Three Railway Employees In illegal Liquor Case

Police arrested three railway employees illegally sending liquor from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana. Three railway employees have been arrested for illegally carrying liquor from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh.

Police said that three railwaymen were arrested on Tuesday for illegally carrying liquor from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh. The liquor was allegedly being transported from Hyderabad to Vijayawada in a railway scrap lorry.

The Krishna police intercepted the lorry at Donkonda in Kanchecherla mandal and nabbed the accused. Nandigama Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramanamurthy said 63 liquor bottles were found under the scrap. “Three railwaymen – Dastagiri, Basha and Johny – have liquor bottles hidden under railway scraps.

They have been arrested along with lorry driver Vijay Kumar. Liquor and lorry have been seized,” he told leading news agency. “We have set up a check post in Donakonda to check the vehicles.
