Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday recalled Swami Vivekananda’s famous address in Chicago in 1893, which showcased the prominence of Hinduism and Indian culture.

Swami Vivekananda’s birthday on 12 January is also celebrated as National Youth Day in the country.

PM Modi said in a tweet, ‘Recalling Swami Vivekananda’s iconic 1893 speech in Chicago, which beautifully displayed the primacy of Indian culture.

On this day in 1893, Swami Vivekananda gave a speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago. It is believed that he introduced the concepts and ideals of Vedanta to the Western world.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday congratulated the country on the occasion of Nuakhai Zuhar, praising the excellent efforts of farmers and their role in nation-building.

Nuakhai Juhar is celebrated in western Odisha and southern Chhattisgarh. This festival is celebrated to welcome the new season of rice.

Nuakhai is a combination of two words that signify eating new rice. ‘Nua’ means rice and ‘Khai’ means food.

After 18 months in Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple, you will now be able to enjoy the aarti of Lord Shiva.

The Bhasma Aarti of Mahakaleshwar temple will be opened for the common devotees on Saturday, 18 months after the entry restrictions due to the Corona epidemic.
