PM Modi made India’s stand on Ukraine clear and called for an immediate end to hostilities: Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra: Russia Ukraine War.

In the midst of the Russo-Ukraine war, India has once again offered to find a solution to the war through dialogue.

Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clarified India’s position on the Ukraine conflict at the G7 summit.

PM Modi reiterated that hostilities must end immediately and a resolution reached through dialogue and diplomacy.

Responding to a question on India’s stand on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Kwatra said during the press conference.

“The PM clarified India’s position on Russia-Ukraine, including the immediate cessation of hostilities, to resolve the situation.” Negotiations and diplomacy are involved.

Foreign Secretary Kwatra also emphasized that PM Modi has spoken to world leaders on the food security crisis in Eastern Europe, especially on the impact of conflict on vulnerable countries.

“The Prime Minister has also highlighted the impact of the conflict on the food security crisis, especially on vulnerable countries,” Kwatra said.

He further said that since the start of the war on February 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been appealing to both Russia and Ukraine to end the unrest and hostilities.

After the war started, PM Modi intervened and spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin. PM Modi has also advised finding a solution through direct talks between the presidents of both countries.

PM Modi also spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and expressed his deep anguish about the loss of life and property due to the ongoing conflict.

The world now looks to India as a solution provider: Kwatra.

Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra, on the sidelines of the G-7 summit in Germany, said the world now sees India as a solution provider, which was evident from the body language and camaraderie of the leaders with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Modi attended the G7 summit in Germany on 26-27 June, held meetings with world leaders as well as interacted with the Indian diaspora.

During a press conference, Kwatra said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence at the G7 summit showed that India’s presence is given all the importance and now India is seen by all countries as a solution provider.”
