PM Modi in BRICS Summit: Terrorism, Corona vaccine and self-reliant India: know what PM Modi said in the BRICS conference.

At the BRICS Summit, PM Narendra Modi in his speech focused on issues like the help of terrorism by the neighboring country.

On the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Modi attended the Virtual BRICS Summit on the theme “Global Stability, Shared Security and Transformation Development”.

The PM has also proposed to constitute a committee of National Security Advisors (NSAs) of member countries to form a joint action plan of BRICS countries against terrorism on its behalf.

PM Modi said, ‘This problem should be resolved in an organized manner.

He welcomed the finalization of an overall strategy against terrorism led by Russia, the current BRICS president, and said that India would take the task forward during its presidency.

Reform process started in India with self-sufficient India campaign

The Prime Minister said, we have started a comprehensive reform process under the ‘Self-reliant India’ campaign.

The campaign is based on the belief that the post-corona virus in a self-sufficient and resilient India can be manifold powerful for the global economy and make a strong contribution to the global chain.

India sent medicines to 150 countries

PM Modi said, we saw this example during Covid, when due to the capability of Indian pharma industry, we were able to send essential medicines to more than 150 countries.

Our vaccine production and delivery capacity will also serve the benefit of humanity.

Internal cooperation between BRICS countries should be strengthened

He said, in 2021 the BRICS countries will complete 15 years. Our Sherpa can make a report to evaluate the various decisions taken between us in the past years.

During our chairmanship in 2021, we will try to strengthen internal cooperation in all the three pillars of the BRICS.

Organizations like UNSC, IMF and WTO need improvement

PM Narendra Modi questioned the current structure of global organizations such as the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

The World Trade Organization (WHO), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as well as the World Health Organization (WHO).

On this occasion, he even said that these organizations are not able to play their role according to the changes happening in the world. Questions are arising about the way they work.

These organizations are still working on the 75-year-old mentality. He called the change in the UN Security Council most urgent.
