Panic spread in Kanpur countryside in the morning, nine people scorched due to cylinder burst and room collapsed. In Sargaon Khurd of Derapur police station area, Dushata spread suddenly on Sunday morning.
A cylinder burst in a farmer’s house here and the room collapsed and nine people in the house were engulfed in the blaze. The police have admitted the scorched people to the hospital after extinguishing the fire with the help of the fire brigade.
Suraj Kumari, wife of farmer Jagdev, resident of Sargaon Khurd village of Derapur, was making breakfast on a gas stove on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the leakage cylinder. Suraj Kumari ran in a loud noise.
The remaining flames caught fire in the surrounding area. Hearing the noise, the people tried to extinguish the fire but did not succeed. Hearing the screams, people around and reached to extinguish the fire by pouring water.
Meanwhile, the cylinder exploded with a sharp explosion and fell on the ground after tearing up the kitchen ceiling. The explosion was so fast that panic spread to the surrounding villages, the kitchen room collapsed.
In the grip of fire, Jagdev, Suraj Kumari, Himanshu, Kallu, Armaan, Vivek, Vishram, Ranno and Deepak got scorched. After the incident, firefighters arrived and poured water on the fire, while the police sent CHC to all the injured.
