Pakistan Zindabad Slogans Raised In Katni, Madhya Pradesh

Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised after counting of sarpanch elections in Katni, and police registered a case.

Slogans of Pakistan Zindabad were raised on the lead of a candidate on Friday night after counting of votes in Chaka Gram Panchayat adjoining Katni city of Madhya Pradesh.

A video of this occasion is also going viral. In the election for the post of Sarpanch, candidate Rahisa Wajid Khan got a lead in the counting of votes.

The incident happened on Friday night after the counting of votes for the second phase of panchayat elections was over.

In the video, excited people are seen shouting slogans of Jeet Gaya Bhai Jeet Gaya, Pakistan Jeet Gaya, and Pakistan Zindabad.

Katni SP Sunil Jain said that in the video people are saying something with enthusiasm, but they are not taking the name of the candidate.

If anti-national slogans are raised, action will be taken. “We have registered a case in the matter and have started the investigation process,” the police officer said.

Earlier, Lamtra Industries Association president Sanjay Agarwal had accused former sarpanch Rahisa Begum and her husband Sheikh Wajid of settling Bangladeshis in Chaka village in Katni block.

He complained about this to Collector Priyank Mishra on 23 May. The collector sent this complaint to SP Sunil Jain.

When Sheikh Wajid was called for questioning at Kuthla police station, he had called these allegations baseless.

The Kuthla police station had also questioned the people living in village Chaka by opening punctured shops on the side of the main road, but there was no evidence of their being Bangladeshi.

Police are also probing this matter.
