Pakistan Calls FATF’s Decision Its Diplomatic Victory

Pakistan calls FATF’s decision to be placed on the gray list of its diplomatic victory. Pakistan has declared its diplomatic victory towards the Financial Action Task Force ie FATF.

Pakistan’s Industry and Production Minister Hammad Azhar said in response to the decision of the FATF (Financial Action Task Force, FATF) on the matter of terrorist funding that Hakad Azhar (Pakistan) was blacklisted.

According to leading news agency danger is now averted. The decision given by the FATF on Friday without a vote is our diplomatic victory.

The Pakistanis who have lied to their voice that only Turkey had supported them on Friday when it was lobbying to exclude itself from the watch list.

Turkey had advocated Pakistan, saying that Pakistan had done a better job in the action taken so far. Instead of waiting on the six points on which work is yet to be done, members should go and take stock of their work on the spot.

It is worth noting that none of the members had approved the Turkish proposal.

Even Pakistan’s evergreen allies Saudi Arabia, China and Malaysia remained silent on the issue of taking stock on the spot. Actually, Pakistan pretends to act against terrorism but does not want to do anything concrete on the ground.

Opening his poll, FATF President Marcus Player said that the time given to Pakistan was over. We strongly warn Pakistan that it should seriously complete the remaining works by February-2121.

Pakistan minister Hammad Azhar should not forget that FATF President Marcus Player also said in his address that Pakistan had much more to do to come out of the watch list.

Once all 27 tasks are completed by Pakistan, the FATF team will visit there and investigate its reality. Only then will it be decided to take him out of the gray list.

It is clear that Pakistan has to tell the international fraternity that it has destroyed the structure of terrorists like Dawood, Lakhvi, Azhar.

Pakistan, which has been nurturing terrorists, has probably forgotten that the FATF’s continuation in the gray list of the monitoring list will not be a detrimental to its economic health.

Being retained in the gray list will make it difficult for Pakistan to seek financial support from international financial institutions such as IMF, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Union.

Pakistan’s Industry and Production Minister Hammad Azhar should also not forget that FATF’s action will add fuel to the economic plight of his country.
