Pakistan Blocks Flights From Srinagar To Sharjah

Pakistan blocks flights from Srinagar to Sharjah from flying over its territory. Pakistan has once again made it clear that it is not our good neighbor.

The Srinagar-Sharjah flights recently started by Home Minister Amit Shah have been blocked by Pakistan from passing through its territory.

Now flights flying from Srinagar to Sharjah will have to pass through Udaipur and Ahmedabad. Due to this, the journey will be one and a half hours long, but the financial burden on the passengers will also increase.

According to sources, Pakistan has directly violated international flight norms by refusing to allow flights to pass through its territory.

You should be aware that the people of Kashmir were getting the most benefit from this air service started from Srinagar to Sharjah.

After Pakistan’s refusal, planes bound for Sharjah will pass through Udaipur, Ahmedabad, and Oman.

This will also make the air travel longer. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of External Affairs have also got information about this decision of Pakistan.

The controversy started with the launch of this air service by Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Jammu-Srinagar on 23 October.

Pakistan blocks flights from Srinagar to Sharjah: However, even in the midst of the dispute, four flights were flown between Srinagar-Sharjah.

Pakistan was upset that after the agreement between the Government of India and Dubai, the Srinagar-Sharjah air service was started directly, without permission from the Pakistani administration before using Pakistan’s airspace.

The Government of India has started this air service in association with the airline Go-First. Go-First is operating four flights a week between Srinagar-Sharjah.

International cargo operations were also to be started in the second phase of the agreement. The people of Kashmir are directly benefited by this flight.

This was promoting trade and tourism between Srinagar and the UAE.

You should be aware that on 5 August 2019 in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan had stopped commercial flights to India after abrogating Article 370, dividing it into two union territories.
