Pak President Said -PM’s Statement On Kashmir Is Not A U-turn

Pak President said – Imran Khan’s statement on Kashmir is not a U-turn, know-how Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan came on the backfoot.

Pak President Arif Alvi on Monday said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s revenge statement on Kashmir is not a U-turn. Khan can understand the changing situation better.

Imran Khan had last month said that normalizing relations with India till the normalcy in Kashmir is restored would be a betrayal of the people of Kashmir.

At the same time, in a conversation with a foreign news agency earlier this month, Imran Khan said that Pakistan is ready to start talks with India if it presents a blueprint to restore Kashmir to its former status.

Defending Imran Khan’s statement, Alvi told Dawn news TV that the prime minister is someone who can understand the situation better in view of Afghanistan and new international alliances.

What Pakistan wants at the moment is that the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir be restored.

Let us inform that the Government of India introduced a historic Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019 in the Rajya Sabha on 5 August 2019.

This act seeks to remove Article 370 of the Constitution from the state of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the state into two union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Significantly, India has been saying from the very beginning that Jammu and Kashmir are an integral part of it and are capable of solving its problems.

At the same time, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy recently said that since August 5, 2019, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has changed rapidly.

The Center has given priority to the development and restoration of peace here. During the last two years, we have curbed terrorism and infiltration.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed issued the order on Friday while hearing a matter relating to the implementation of the 2014 judgment on rights of minorities.
