Noted movie director Sachidanandan no more. Noted Malayalam movie chief and scriptwriter K R Sachidanandan, whose last film “Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ released not long before the COVID-19 flare-up was a raving success, died at a private medical clinic in Thrissur, film industry sources said. He was 48 years old.
The chief, prevalently known as Sachy, was admitted to the Celebration Crucial on Tuesday after he endured a cardiovascular failure and had been on ventilator support from that point forward.
He died on Thursday night, they said.
“Ayyappanum Koshiyum”, featured Prithviraj and Biju Menon. Sachidanandan’s directorial debut “Anarkali”, a Malayalam sentimental spine chiller, was discharged in 2015.

“Sachy was a prominent Malayalam film executive and screenplay essayist. He was behind many hit films in Malayalam. With the inauspicious passing of Sachy, the Malayalam film industry lost a capable craftsman,” Vijayan said.
On-screen character Nivin Pauly tweeted that his end was a misfortune to Malayalam film. “Stunned to hear the abrupt end of Sachy rattan. Without a doubt a major misfortune to the Malayalam film. May his spirit find happiness in the hereafter!” Pauly tweeted.
Biju Menon, in his tweet, said “throughout everyday life, we adored you profoundly, in death, we love you still. You left abruptly, gone so quick. My most profound feelings. God favor his family and friends..”.
