NIA files chargesheet against five people including ULFA chief Paresh Barua.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet in a special court against extremist group ULFA (I) chief Paresh Barua and four other members.

NIA files a chargesheet against five people for their involvement in the conspiracy to carry out the 2019 bombings and waging war against the country.

Apart from Barua, charges have been framed against Pappu Koch Bokoliyal, Amrit Ballabh Goswami, Arundoy Dahotia, and Munna Barua under relevant sections of the Bhadavi and UA(P) Act, the NIA official said.

In connection with the hurling of a bomb on a police party in Guwahati by 12 people were injured in this incident. The NIA officer said that Paresh Barua had claimed responsibility for the attack.

The NIA re-registered the case and took over the investigation. The investigating agency has filed a charge sheet against eight accused.

Tamil Nadu- Another student who wanted to study medicine committed suicide.

Scared of failing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in Tamil Nadu, another girl student committed suicide on Wednesday.

Soundarya, a 17-year-old girl aspiring to study MBBS, was a resident of Talayarampattu village in Vellore district and was apprehensive of not cracking NEET.

This is the third student to commit suicide in the state within four days. First of all, on September 12, when the examination was going to be held at the national level, Dhanush committed suicide.

Chief Minister MK Stalin and leaders of other parties expressed their condolences to the affected family and appealed to the students not to take such drastic steps.

The government announced a toll-free number 104 for counseling of students appearing for NEET. The DMK government of the state has also passed a bill to keep Tamil Nadu out of the purview of NEET.
