T20 series to be played between Australia and host New Zealand. The Kiwi team has been announced for this series. Captain Kane Williamson is set to take the field against the Kangaroo team with his 13-man squad.

Stormy opener Martin Guptill has also returned to this team, who was out due to a hamstring injury. The 34-year-old Guptill has missed some matches in domestic cricket as well.

21-year-old Finn Allenn has been added to the team as a standby. If Martin Guptill is not well then Finn will be included in the team.

Kiwi team selector Gavin Larsen has said that Finn Allen has been included in the team as he has scored 512 runs in the domestic tournament.

He has said, “Martin is our strong opener and he is the highest run-scorer in T20 International cricket. That is why we support him as an opener.”

“Martin Guptill will have to prove his fitness. If he does not do so, Fin Allen will be part of the team as an opener,” said the selector.

Kane Williamson will captain the team, which will play at number three. He had an elbow injury, but now he is fit.

The Kiwi team is currently a full-strength team, while Australia has left stars such as Steve Smith, David Warner, and Pat Cummins at home.

The five-match series between the Kiwi and Kangaroo team starts on February 22. The Australian team is in Quarantine ahead of the first match in Christchurch.
