Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi- RCP Singh did not get the ticket, will the ministerial post be saved; Know what is the rule.
Modi government minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi did not get a Rajya Sabha ticket. Naqvi’s term ends in July. In such a situation, he may have to leave the ministerial post.
At the same time, the tenure of Union Minister RCP Singh from the JDU quota is also ending and he also did not get the ticket again.
BJP has decided to send its two ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal to Rajya Sabha again, while Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has not been repeated.
At the same time, Khiru Mahto has been made a candidate in place of RCP Singh, a minister in the Modi government from the JDU quota.
After the removal of Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and RCP Singh from the Rajya Sabha, the challenge has now arisen in front of them to retain their ministerial chair.
BJP announced the names of 22 Rajya Sabha candidates, in which Naqvi is not included.
In such a situation, if RCP and Naqvi do not reach Parliament within six months, then they will have to resign from the post of minister.
In this way, changes can also be seen in the cabinet of the Modi government.
Let us inform you that Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who was included in the Modi government as a Muslim face, was elected Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand in the year 2016, whose term ends on 7 July.
This time the BJP has nominated Aditya Sahu instead of Naqvi for the Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand.
After the leaf was cut from Jharkhand, it was believed that Naqvi could be made a BJP candidate from another state, but after the list came on Monday, that too was put to rest.
Like Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, problems have arisen for senior JDU leader and Union Steel Minister RCP Singh in the Modi government.
In place of RCP Singh, JDU has made Jharkhand’s party leader Khiru Mahto the Rajya Sabha candidate this time. In such a situation, clouds of crisis have started hovering over the RCP’s ministerial chair.
What are the rules for the post of a minister?
In fact, according to Article 164(4) of the Constitution of India, a minister can remain in office for six months without being a member of either house.
But to retain his chair, he has to be elected to the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha within six months.
It is also necessary to be elected a member of the House. However, if a member of either house is not elected in the Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha within six months, then the minister will have to resign.
However, after the resignations of Naqvi and RCP Singh, if the Prime Minister wishes, he can get them sworn in as ministers again, but this opportunity is available only once.
