More than 2.34 lakh cases in the last 24 hours, Old records of Corona breaking every day. Coronavirus infection in India made another record of new cases on Saturday.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 2,34,692 new cases of COVID-19 occurred in the country in the last 24 hours and 1,341 people died.

After this, the total number of infected people in the country so far has gone up to 1,45,26,609 and the death toll has gone up to 1,75,649. For the past 9 days, the number of infections coming every day is setting a record.

India, which is battling the second wave of Covid-19, is second only to America in the list of infected countries in the world.

However, various restrictions and strict steps are being taken in various states of the country to prevent the havoc of corona infection.

Strict measures including weekend lockdown, night curfew have been announced in various states including Maharashtra and the country’s capital Delhi.

According to the data released by the ministry, the total number of active cases in the country at present is 16,79,740 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,26,71,220.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 26,49,72,022 sample tests for coronavirus have been done in India till yesterday, of which 14,95,397 samples were tested yesterday.

As far as corona vaccination is concerned, a total of 11,99,37,641 people have been given vaccine doses since January 16 in the country.

To overcome the crisis of infection, the government has approved the emergency use of foreign vaccines. So far, about 12 crore doses of vaccine have been put under vaccination in the country.

More than 2.34 lakh cases: According to the Union Health Ministry, 26.14 lakh vaccines were administered till 8 pm on the 91st day of the campaign.

The ministry said that the maximum number of 8.45 crore people above 45 years of age has been given the first vaccine and more than 45 lakh people have been given the second dose of the vaccine.

Apart from these, the beneficiaries include 91.04 lakh health workers (first dose), 56.69 lakh health workers (second dose), 1.06 crore frontline workers (first dose), and 52.94 lakh frontline workers (second dose).
