On July 16, three audios related to the purchase and sale of MLAs went viral. The names of Sanjay Jain and Gajendra Singh and Bhanwarlal Sharma appeared in it.
After this, Congress chief whip Mahesh Joshi had filed an FIR in the SOG against Bhanwarlal Sharma, Gajendra Singh and Sanjay Jain. Meanwhile, SIT was constituted for investigation on 18 July. CID Crime Branch and ATS-SOG are working together.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) first arrested Ashok Singh and Bharat Malani based on call recordings. The SOG had said that during the call recording in the smuggling case, the inputs of the MLAs were sold. After this both of them were arrested.
Apart from this, a complaint was also filed against the three MLAs in SOG in the case. These include MLA Om Prakash Hoodla from Mahwa seat in Dausa, Suresh Tank, MLA from Kishangarh seat in Ajmer and Khushveer Singh, MLA from Marwar Junction in Pali district.
It is alleged that these three MLAs approached the MLAs in Banswara before the Rajya Sabha elections. He was offered to give crores of rupees for the purchase of MLAs. The contacts of the three MLAs were being shared with Ashok Singh and Bharat Malani.
