Terrorists attacked security forces

Three senior police sources confirmed the attack on condition of anonymity, saying that a large group of terrorists attacked the post and killed members of the Frontier Constabulary security force. Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the chief minister of the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, confirmed the attack in a statement on Friday, in which he condemned it, but did not give the number of dead. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group, claiming responsibility, said in its statement that the attack was revenge for the killing of a senior leader, Ustad Qureshi. The Pakistani army said in a statement on Thursday that Qureshi was one of nine people killed in an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district bordering Afghanistan. It also included two suicide bombers.
