Mamata Banerjee Nandigram Accident: The leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress have decided to go to the Election Commission over the alleged attack on Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.
Trinamool Congress general secretary and state education minister Partha Chatterjee said that he would put the matter before the constitutional authority.
He said, ‘Cowards have been trying to stop Mamata Banerjee but no one has been able to stop. It was alleged in Partha that the ADG (law and order) of the state was first removed, then the Director-General of Police (DGP), and now it all happened.
I was surprised to see that the Election Commission, which has made so many changes, is also silent. They should take responsibility for it. ‘
The delegation of the Trinamool Congress will meet the Election Commission against this incident today.
It is worth noting that the Election Commission has sought a detailed report from the district administration this evening itself.
On the other hand, Vivek Dubey, supervisor of the Election Commission in the state, has said that the truth will be known only after investigating the matter.
Mamta was allegedly attacked
It is worth mentioning that after filing nomination papers from the Nandigram seat on Wednesday, Mamta went to many temples. She succumbed to injuries after exiting a temple in the evening.
However, Mamta alleged that four-five people pushed her and she fell. According to her, her leg is swollen and she feels chest pain and fever. She accused them of attacking her as part of a conspiracy behind it.
At the same time, the opposition BJP and Congress termed it a drama and said it was a stunt to garner sympathy in view of the possible defeat in the assembly elections.
After this incident, Mamta was brought to Kolkata from Nandigram on Wednesday late evening after making a green corridor.
She was immediately treated at SSKM, the state’s largest government hospital in Kolkata, where he is currently admitted. The state government has constituted a medical board of five senior doctors to treat the chief minister.
Here, after X-rays and MRI, doctors say that Mamta has serious injuries at many places in her body. He will be kept in the hospital under the supervision of doctors for 48 hours.
