Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have succeeded in averting a major attack by repelling an IED planted by terrorists near Pulwama.
The security forces detected this IED near the circular road in the Pulwama district. The terrorists had planted this IED to target the security forces.
The bomb disposal squad reached the spot to defuse the IED.
Police say that the weight of the IED is around 25 to 30 kg. By canceling the IED, the security forces have averted a major accident from happening.

The aim of the terrorists was to blast the vehicle of the security forces. But due to the promptness of the security forces, a major accident was averted.
The Police Bomb Disposal Squad reached there immediately and the IED was destroyed through a controlled detonation.

A day earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested a terrorist from Azamgarh who was trying to blast an IED on the occasion of Independence Day.
The name of the person who has been arrested from Azamgarh is Sabauddin Azmi alias Dilawar Khan alias Bairam Khan. He is also a member of All India Majlis-e-Ittedul Muslimeen.
