Mahakal Temple Complex Of Ujjain Will Be Increased Eight Times

Mahakal temple complex of Ujjain will increase eight times, work being done in two phases, know how much will cost.

The area of ​​the Jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar temple complex in Dharmadhani Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh is going to increase by eight times.

Various works are being carried out under the Mahakal Rudrasagar Integrated Development Approach (Soil) scheme created for the expansion of the temple complex and beautification of the area.

In this, priority has also been given to increase facilities for pilgrims and to facilitate easy viewing. This plan of about 500 crore rupees is to be completed in two phases.

The first phase works have started and many of these works will be completed in June. After this, the second phase will start.

Land of 223 families to be acquired

A total of 223 families of land will be acquired for temple area expansion and development works. In return, they will be given Rs 128 crore as compensation.

The land will be included in the temple premises by land reclamation of 70 meters in front of the temple. With this, land of 145 families will be acquired.

Apart from this, six families to widen the road between Mahakal Temple and Maharajwada campus, 40 families for widening the route from Mahakal Temple to Mahakal Square.

Saraswati Shishu Mandir for 20 families to widen the parallel route and the larger Ganesh Temple. Land of 12 people will be acquired to widen the route from twenty-four-pillar to Mata Mandir Marg.

These works being done in the first phase

1- In the first phase, the Nutan School Complex near the Chardham Temple, the Ganesh School Complex, the new entrance of the Mahakal Temple.

The 900-meter-long Mahakal Corridor, the Midway Zone, the Saptarishi-Shiva Pillar Darshan area are beginning to take shape.

2- Development work of theme park, Rudrasagar Ghat, and deck area will start soon. There will be food courts, watchtowers, and worship shops in the mid-way zone.

3- Mural walls based on Shiva’s stories will be constructed in the theme park. 108 feet 25 feet high will be installed on the campus.

4 – Seating in the theme park will be provided with comfortable keys. Ghats and boating facilities will also be available at Rudrasagar near the temple.

5- Displacement of houses located near Begambagh, construction work of Mahakal Dharamshala, discourse hall, Annakshetra will also be in this phase.

These tasks will be done in the second phase

1- In the second phase of the Soil Project, the Maharajwada School building will be transformed into Kumbh Museum and Heritage Dharamshala.

2- Rudrasagar will be renovated. It will be filled with pure water from Shipra. The front lake area will be developed and beautified.

3- Parking, Ramghat road beautification, Harifataka bridge widening, railway underpass will be constructed. Development of Rudrasagar footbridge, Begambagh road, Mahakal approach road will be upgraded.

4- Cultural Haats will be constructed in the area. Simhastha theme-based dynamic light show will be done at Ramghat.

A 210-meter long footbridge will be built over Rudrasagar, which will connect the Mahakal theme park.

Land price

The buildings coming in front of the Mahakal temple in a radius of 70 meters are worth crores. According to the Collector Guideline.

The price of residential land here is 41600 square meters and the price of commercial land is 83200 square meters. The special thing is that most have started commercial activities on residential land itself.

Challenge: No plans for maintenance.

For the Mahakal temple area development and beautification, the Ujjain Smart City Company has created a project of Rs 500 crore. There is no plan to cover maintenance costs for these works.

Good arrangements have been made for the maintenance of expenses for the Statue of Unity campus located at Akshardham Temple in Delhi, Neelkanth Dham in Poycha, Gujarat, and 3.2 km away from Sardar Sarovar Dam.

The arrangement is at these three places of Gujarat.

The temple gets a good income from the in-house exhibition at Akshardham Temple and tickets for the musical fountain.

The exhibition at Neelkanth Dham also comes from the water park and maintenance of the Statue of Unity memorial site from the exhibition, sky darshan, and laser show.

This income preserves the artifacts made there. Electricity, sanitation, and other expenses are extracted.
