Lt Governor Manoj Sinha- No need to panic due to drone strikes, our security forces are capable.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that strict cognizance has been taken of the recent drone attack on Air Force Station Jammu and subsequent drone activities in various areas.

Our security forces are fully capable of dealing with this new threat. No one needs to panic.

The decision to open for general movement from Mughal Road and Sinthan Top Road 5

He said that our aim is to provide a safe and peaceful environment to the people. To ensure the development of the people.

Therefore, we have also decided to open Mughal Road and Sinthan Top Road for general movement from July 5.

In an interaction with a select few journalists at the Raj Bhavan here, he said the drone challenge has been taken very seriously.

Our army, central forces, and Jammu and Kashmir Police are fully capable of dealing with this. All necessary steps have been taken to tackle the menace of drones.

The Lieutenant Governor said that keeping in mind the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, we have taken two big decisions today.

This will also encourage economic activities. He said that in the past several delegations had met from Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, and Kishtwar districts.

These people had urged to open the Mughal Road and Sinthan Top Road connecting the Jammu division with Kashmir for general movement.

Today we have decided that from the coming Monday i.e. July 5, both the routes will be opened.

The opening of these two roads will not only increase the convenience of people’s movement, but the overall economy of Jammu and Kashmir is also going to increase.

He said that arrangements would also be made for checking vehicles on both these routes. People are urged to take care of security and cooperate with the administration.

Delimitation Commission will work impartially:

On the question of the Delimitation Commission, Sinha said that the commission will do its work with complete transparency and fairness.

All classes will be heard. He said that those who believe in democracy must participate in the delimitation process.

He said that when political parties become a part of this process, the way for elections will also be created and this will lead to the formation of a good assembly.
