LK Advani turns 94; PM Modi, top BJP leaders wish birthday. Former deputy prime minister and longest-serving BJP president LK Advani turned 94 on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other BJP leaders lauded his contribution to the country and the party and wished him a happy birthday.
PM Modi tweeted, ‘Happy birthday to respected Advani Ji. Praying for his long and healthy life.
The nation will remain indebted to him for his many efforts towards empowering the people and enhancing our cultural pride. He is also widely respected for his scholarly activities and rich intellect.’
BJP President JP Nadda praised the veteran leader for taking the party to the masses and playing an important role in the development of the country.
Wishing him a long and healthy life, he said that the old leader is an inspiration to crores of party workers.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described Advani as an inspiration and guide and said that he is counted among the most respected leaders whose scholarship, foresight, and intellectual ability are acknowledged by all.
The Delhi CM and AAP national convener also tweeted to wish the senior BJP leader a happy birthday.
RSS mouthpiece Organizer Weekly also wished LK Advani on his 94th birthday.
As a key leader of the BJP’s rise as a major national political party, he linked his path with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in the late 80s.
Advani coined and shaped Hindutva politics, and he along with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari led the party and its forerunner Jan Sangh for decades. He was born in Karachi in undivided India.
