Landslide on Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan Road, battery rickshaw road closed – narrowly left devotees.
While the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed due to heavy snowfall and rain in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the last 48 hours.
The road has been closed after a landslide in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan Marg.
According to the information, due to incessant rains, a landslide took place near Panchi Helipad on the battery car road of Mata Vaishno Devi around 4 pm.
Due to this, the road has been closed for the movement of devotees. Battery car service has also been suspended. Devotees are being asked to follow the traditional route for the yatra.
Fortunately, no devotees were present on the road when the landslide occurred. Devotees are being asked to go towards the traditional route for Vaishno Devi Yatra.
As soon as the information was received, the officials of the Shrine Board administration reached here so that the police officers reached the spot and at the same time work has been started to clear the road.
But amidst the incessant rain, there is an obstacle.
However, despite all the troubles, the journey of Maa Vaishno Devi continues through the traditional route. By 4:00 pm on Wednesday, about 18000 devotees had left for their building.
It should be noted here that this is not the first time. Even before this, due to rain in the month of August, the Yatra was stopped for some time due to a landslide on Mata Vaishno Devi Marg.
Although the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has built tin-built sheds in the areas prone to landslides.
Despite this, there are frequent incidents of landslides on the Yatra route during the rainy season. Now the yatra has been made smooth through the traditional common roof route.
