Krishna Nagar won India’s fifth gold in Tokyo Paralympics, did wonder in badminton

Badminton player Krishna Nagar has won the 19th medal in the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Krishna has won a gold medal at the Paralympic Games, which is India’s fifth individual gold medal at these Games. With this, he has created history.

In the Tokyo Paralympic Badminton Men’s Singles SH6 event, Krishna Nagar defeated Hong Kong Kai Man Chu to win the gold medal.

In the first round of the final match, Krishna defeated Kai Man Chu 21-17. However, in the second game, the Hong Kong player made a comeback and won the match 21-16.

But in the third round, Indian para shuttler Krishna Nagar made a tremendous comeback to win 21-17 and won the match 2-1 to win the gold. Got the medal.

The ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo is in its last phase and the performance of Indian players has been strong so far. India has won five gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.

This tournament has been historic for India in the history of the Paralympic Games because India had won only 12 medals in these Games so far.

But now India has captured more than one and a half dozen medals in a single Paralympic.

Krishna Nagar of Rajasthan is just 22 years old and has won silver and bronze medals at the World Championships before winning the gold medal at the Paralympics.

Apart from this, he has also won a bronze medal in Para Asian Games. He is currently the number two player in the world in his category.

If we look at the current performance, then they can also occupy the number one position soon.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has praised Krishna Nagar.

He tweeted, “Great news from the Tokyo Paralympics that Krishna Nagar, a Para-Badminton player from Jaipur, Rajasthan, has won the Gold Medal in the Men’s Para-Badminton SH6 event! A splendid achievement for which we are so proud! Many many congratulations to him for the success!!”

At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised this athlete and tweeted, congratulating him on winning the gold medal.

“Glad to see our badminton players excelling in the Tokyo Paralympics. The great feat of Krishna Nagar has made every Indian proud. Has brought a smile to his face. Congratulations on winning the gold medal. Best wishes to him for his further endeavors.”
