Kerala Gold smuggling case: KT Jalil arrives at the National Investigation Agency office. Minister KT Jalil has reached the office of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the Kerala gold smuggling case. The NIA team will interrogate him in the case. Let me tell you that, there is a continuous demand for the resignation of the minister in this matter.

A few days ago Minister of State Police lathi-charged members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), who were protesting outside KT Jaleel’s house in Valanchery, demanding his resignation. They were protesting over Jalil’s alleged involvement in the Kerala Gold Smuggling Case and demanding the minister’s resignation. Police also detained some of the protesters.

Earlier, BJP Yuva Morcha activists protested in Thiruvananthapuram over this matter. The police then explained to the crowd, but the protesters were not ready to oblige. The police used water canons and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Let us know that in the gold smuggling case, Kerala Minister Katie Jalil was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for two hours.

According to ED sources, so far movable and immovable property worth 1.84 crore has been seized in this case. Let me tell you that there has been uproar in the state politics over the gold smuggling case. The Chief Minister was forced to remove him from the post after the name of M. Shivashankar, Principal Secretary IAS Officer of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs has handed over the investigation of the case to the NIA at the airport.

On July 5, officials of the Customs Department at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport had caught a diplomatic (diplomatic) baggage from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) based on secret information. When it was opened in the presence of the UAE Consulate officials after obtaining permission from the Ministry of External Affairs, it found 30 kg of gold filled with various items of domestic use.
